Both brands label some products TSA friendly, but that phrase is theirs, not the TSA's. Lithium batteries belong in carry-on, not checked baggage — and that is the rule that actually governs it.

THE RULE THAT MATTERS

Devices with built-in lithium batteries go in carry-on baggage. This is standard airline policy rather than anything specific to recovery equipment, and it applies whether or not a manufacturer has called the product travel-friendly. Checked baggage is where problems start.

WHAT THE BRANDS ACTUALLY SAY

Normatec 3 Legs — Hyperice labels it TSA friendly.
Hypervolt 3 — labelled TSA friendly.
Theragun models ship with a travel lock on some units, which prevents the motor starting in a bag.
Normatec Go at 1.2 lb and Venom Go at 0.2 lb are the two smallest things documented here.

Worth knowing

TSA friendly is a manufacturer's phrase. It is not a certification, and it does not bind any security officer or airline. Treat it as a hint about size and battery type, not a guarantee about what happens at the checkpoint.

PACKING BY WEIGHT

If the trip is the reason you are buying, weight is the spec to read. Venom Go is 0.2 lb. Normatec Go is 1.2 lb for the pair. Theragun Mini G3 is 0.40 kg. Hypervolt Go 3 is 1.6 lb with four hours of battery, which is the best runtime-per-pound figure on this site.

At the other end: Normatec Elite Legs is 6.4 lb total, and JetBoots Prime is 6 lb. Those are systems you travel with deliberately, not ones you throw in a bag.

INTERNATIONAL POWER

Normatec 3 Full Body and Lower Body ship with three international adapters. Nothing else documented here states that it does, so check the charger's voltage range before assuming it will work abroad.
