Home/Therabody/Wave/WaveSolo Review

Therabody · Wave

WAVESOLO.

The cheapest thing Therabody sells in the Wave line, at $99.99, and the longest-running: 200 minutes on a charge, more than any Theragun in the range. What Therabody will not tell you is how many intensity settings it has. The page says “more than 3”.

Verdict

WHO IT IS FOR.

Buy it if

You want pinpoint pressure, not a roller

3.4 inches across, 0.7 lb, and it goes in a bag. A roller flattens a whole muscle group; a ball gets under a shoulder blade. Those are different jobs and this is the cheaper one.

Think twice if

A vague spec bothers you

“More than 3 vibration intensity settings” is what the page says. The WaveRoller, from the same line, states five. Therabody chose to print a number for one product and not the other, and there is no way to find out which count you are buying until it arrives.

Worth knowing

200 minutes is the headline figure

It runs longer than the $649.99 Theragun PRO Plus, longer than any Theragun. Battery does not track price anywhere in this catalogue and this is the clearest example of it.

Regulatory

REGISTERED, NOT CLEARED.

Regulatory

FDA Registered, with no K-number published

All three Wave products carry an “FDA Registered” badge and none says FDA Cleared. Registration means a company has listed itself and its device with the FDA — a filing that involves no review of whether the device is safe or works. A 510(k) clearance is a public record with a number attached. Therabody's own JetBoots PRO Plus has one, K241256. No Wave product does, and none is published.
